Spending Week 18 (July 25 – 31)

Last chance to finish the month off with a bang! I had FOUR no spend days and one unplanned, un-budgeted splurge. Stupid me. An average week overall and I was able to put a nice chunk on my student loan, the goal is to have that sucker below $5,000 for Sept 1st!

Monday:
No Spend day!

Tuesday:
No Spend Day!
+ $750.00 Income

Wednesday:
No spend day!

Thursday:
– $5 pool
– $49.29 Smart Set (BAD BAD BAD)
– $42.10 Shoppers (bm)

Friday:

– $5.18 Tim’s lunch
– $126.97 Mortgage
– $5.45 Bank fees (GAHHH! I will be rid of these eventually)

Saturday:
No Spend day!

Sunday:
– $2.49 bag of ice (bm)
– $1.49 coffee (bm)

Totals:
Income: +$750.00
Budgeted expenses: $142.60
Budgeted Blow Money: $46.10
Renovation: $0
OFF budget:  $49.29 I was standing in front of my closet this week thinking I could use another few casual work tshirts and purge some of my older stuff. The next day my mom told me there was this crazy clearance sale at Smart Set, which is one of my fave clothing stores. I came home with 3 t’s, 1 dress-shirt, 1 skirt and one top: /fail. I’m going to have to put my debitcard and creditcard on ice this month I think.

  1. Wow, 4 No spend days, that is actually pretty good. Putting credit card or debit card on ice? That’s a good one! LOL

    • lol yep…. putting those cards in a block of ice is actually a nice deterrent to impulse spending… i’ve done it before and it worked like a charm! Maybe I just know myself too well :p

  2. Sometimes you have to spoil yourself – and $50 isn’t too bad in the long run!

  3. At least you got a lot of stuff at Smart Set. Does your mom know about your goal of getting your student loan down though?
